New Facility Design & Major Expansion

• Mamminasata Regional Solid Waste Disposal Facility, Indonesia: Delivered full detailed design (300+ drawings and specifications to Australian standards) for a major waste complex for AusAID, including a landfill, leachate treatment plant, and waste sorting/composting plant.

• Xingfeng Municipal Solid Waste Management Facility, China: Provided full design and construction supervision for a facility with a phased capacity of ~20 million tonnes. A key feature was the design of a 30,000m³ leachate storage lagoon to manage seasonal flow.

• Emelle Hazardous Waste Landfill, USA: Designed over fifteen disposal units for one of North America's largest hazardous waste landfills, featuring double-composite liners and sophisticated containment systems.

• Chestnut Ridge Landfill, USA: Engineered a 2 million cubic metre vertical and horizontal expansion in challenging karst terrain, involving a 30-meter high reinforced-soil embankment.

• Kovic MSW Management Facility, Sweden: Designed a 3 million cubic metre expansion in a steep-sided valley, including groundwater isolation structures and leachate systems over soft soils.

Landfill Closure, Restoration & Environmental Remediation

• Shuen Wan Landfill Restoration, Hong Kong SAR: Led the pioneering first landfill restoration project in Hong Kong, a 55-hectare site with 18 million tonnes of waste, from EIA and capping to gas management and monitoring.

• Urban Landfills Restoration, Hong Kong SAR: Managed the design/construct/operate contract for the restoration of five legacy landfill sites across Hong Kong.

• Miga Hill Landfill, Indonesia: Developed the closure concept for a landfill in a high-seismic zone and karst terrain, employing advanced slope stability back-analysis.
